just dump the songfolders in a single folder and place that folder inside your stepmania5/songs.
You now have a working announcer for your StepMania. same thing for smzip files, on my pc they show up as regular zip-files, and I can easily extract them, usually It contains a songs folder, a group-subfolder and several subfolders for the songs. You should hear your announcer depending on your performance (AKA, during a song, you're doing good, and your announcer says 'Awesome.' or something related). Go to Background Options, and select the announcer you have just installed. If this is what you see, then you are done. You should see multiple folders and files, containing the proper scripting and audio. Then, just delete the leftover empty folder. In this case, you'll want to cut the folder, and move it into the proper location (C:/Program Files/StepMania/Announcers). Most of the time, the announcer will be in the folder (as in you unzip the file, you look in the folder to find the folder containing the announcer in the folder). Now, check out the announcer you have just unzipped. Then, unzip the announcer to the proper location at:Ĭ:/Program Files/StepMania/Announcers (This is assuming you have StepMania installed in the default location.) Basically, download any annoucer you wish to use.
